Why We Do What We Do: More Than Just a Business
Every so often, we receive comments from people who assume that because we run a faith-based apparel brand, we must be doing something wrong by making a profit. Some ask, "Are you a for-profit company?" Others go as far as to suggest that selling shirts with faith-inspired messages is somehow taking advantage of God's Word.
We want to take a moment to share our heart and the "why" behind what we do at Day Forty One—because, at the end of the day, this is about so much more than just selling t-shirts.
Yes, We Are a Business—But That’s Not the Whole Story
Like any company, we have employees to pay, families to support, and expenses to cover. We invest in high-quality materials, pay fair wages, and run ads so that we can continue to grow and reach people who love wearing their faith. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be able to keep doing what we do.
But to say that we are only in this for money? That couldn't be further from the truth.
Giving Back Is at the Core of Who We Are
From the very beginning, giving has been a core part of our mission. We believe in putting our faith into action, not just through what we print on a t-shirt, but in how we serve others.
Here are just a few ways we give back:
✔️ Project Hope (Texas Rehab Facility) – This cause is especially close to our hearts. My mom battled and overcame drug and alcohol addiction, so helping those on their journey to recovery is something we are deeply passionate about. We donate products, time, and resources to support this incredible organization.
✔️ Tithing Weekly – We believe in honoring God with what He has given us, so we set aside a portion of our earnings to give back to churches and ministries doing kingdom work.
✔️ Donations to Various Organizations – Whether it’s supplying shirts for mission trips, supporting local charities, or helping individuals in need, we are always looking for ways to use this platform for good.
We don’t talk about these things to brag—we share them so you know our heart. This company isn’t just about making money. It’s about impacting lives, sharing faith, and giving back.
Faith & Business Can Go Hand in Hand
It’s a common misconception that if you run a Christian business, you shouldn’t make a profit. But the Bible never condemns honest work or running a business—it warns against greed and putting money above God.
We see our business as a tool—a way to spread the message of faith, encourage others, and provide for the people God has entrusted to us. Jesus Himself was a carpenter, Paul was a tentmaker, and many biblical figures worked hard to provide for their families while still living out their faith.
We’re no different.
Our Mission Remains the Same
At Day Forty One, our mission isn’t just to sell shirts. It’s to create something meaningful—to remind people of God's promises, to spark conversations about faith, and to make an impact beyond the business.
So yes, we are a for-profit company. But we are also a company that gives, serves, and strives to honor God in all we do.
If you’ve ever wondered about our heart behind this business, we hope this gives you some insight. We’re grateful for the support of those who believe in what we’re doing, and we will continue to use this platform for good.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
